Family Update

Well, I've kept you up to date on what Joy & her crew have been up to, how about an update on SissieFace?

Thursday, Feb. 12, was National Freedom to Marry Day. Kimmie & Rose took part in a demonstration at the county clerk's office. They said their vows again (on Texas turf rather than Canadian soil)! They kissed again! They exchanged rings again! The only difference between this wedding and the one this summer?

This time, they were DENIED the legal right to be married. News story (with video) here:

The upside of the whole deal? She's the only girl I know who got to actually wear her wedding dress TWICE!

My ass is broke. . .

and I'm not talking about my bank account (although I could be!). I'm talking about my back-side. I took a pretty hard fall the other day while visiting a house for work, and I am really feelin' it today.

The worst part is - no bruise! Of course, it's not like it's in a spot that I could show anybody (besides DZ) but a bruise could have at least appeared so I could TELL people it was bruised! Hehe. OK, enough grumbling about my butt. . .

I used to give my sister all kinds of grief for not keeping her blog updated all the time. One day, she finally gave me an answer that just kept me from ever asking again. . .

ME: Hey, SissieFace, I noticed you haven't been blogging lately. What's up with that?

SF: Well, Squirt, I just don't have any words.

Enough said! I get it. I know the feeling. I'm guilty of it as well. Now, that's not entirely true. . . I have words, I just don't take the time to get 'em here! And, because I'm new at this and not sure who all will gain access to this blog, I'm trying to be pretty neutral in what I write about for now! Hehe. That's my story. . .

I am in computer HELL. . .

and I don't know how to get out! OK, so it's not that bad, but it's not good either.

I happen to know a few things about computers, but that doesn't mean I like using them. And that's a problem. See, when you know about computers, people who don't know as much about them tend to ask you lots of questions and want you to DO THINGS to their computers. . . they forget that just because you know the stuff doesn't mean you like the stuff!

Now, that having been said, I must make a confession. . . when my little box of magic tricks went on the fritz, I brought it to my super-geeky and all-to-willing-to-help sister SF, and I'm sitting here bitching to you while she fixes it. But, all of a sudden, I have this nervous feeling that maybe she's just like me. . . she knows computers, but she doesn't actually enjoy working on them. Oh, what have I done?!

SissieFace, thank you for your help today. (By the time I actually get around to finishing and posting this, it will be tomorrow, so thank you for your help yesterday). You rock and roll and know so much. I hope I wasn't too much of a pain in your PC-spot with all my needs. Hey, at least you got to play Warcrack while it was all loading, right?!
